Phoenix Black Rug - 8 x 11

The rug is fine, however it appears as though there is one strand of an almost white thread running with the pattern in the middle of both black sides. Plus, as I was unable to see the 8 x 11 full view of the run, there is a lot more undecorated portion of the rug than I expected. And, the stitching on the 8' edge is white?
